| 1 | cup all-purpose flour |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons baking powder |
| 1/8 | teaspoon salt |
| 1/2 | cup 1% low fat milk |
| 1 | teaspoon margarine |
| vegetable cooking spray | |
| 1 | tablespoon margarine |
| 1/2 | pound raw breakfast turkey sausage |
| 3 | tablespoons all-purpose flour |
| 2 1/4 | cups 1% low fat milk |
| 1/2 | teaspoon black or white ground pepper |
| 1/8 | teaspoon salt |
For biscuits: Combine first 3 ingredients in a bowl.
Combine 1/2 cup milk and teaspoon of margarine;
add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients
are moistened. Drop batter by heaping tablespoons
onto a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 450 degrees for 11 minutes or until golden.
split biscuits, and top with Sausage Gravy.
For Gravy: Melt tablespoon of margarine in a medium
saucepan over medium heat; add sausage.
Cook until sausage is browned, stirring to crumble.
Sprinkle sausage with 3 tablespoons of flour; cook 1
minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add 2 1/4 cups of milk,
stirring until well blended. Cook over medium heat 8 minutes
or until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat;
stir in pepper and salt.
