Ultimate Chicken Wings

 

 

2 lbs wings, trimmed and separated
2 cups oil
1/4 cup hot sauce (Tobasco)
1 Tablespoon of oil
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon Ketchup

 

 

In a medium nonstick skillet, heat 2 cups oil to 375 degrees.
Deep-fry wings 8 to 10 minutes or until nicely browned and crisp.
Meanwhile, combine hot sauce and next 5 ingredients.
With tongs, remove browned wings to a paper-towel lined plate. Pour oil into a heatproof bowl and immediately place skillet back on an unheated element. Pour sauce into skillet; add wings and gently toss 30 seconds. Place skillet back on heat. Continue tossing 2 minutes or until wings have completely absorbed sauce.

Serve at once with blue cheese dressing.

*I prefer to grill the wings, put them into a large stainless steel bowl and toss with the sauce on the stove till the sauce is absorbed. This avoids the frying process and adds a lot of flavor! I also add more garlic and hot sauce!
